Yearning

ever have one of those days (weeks/months)???

you're inside a warm, protective room

with plenty of gentle diffused light

there's a blizzard just on the other side of the glass

but you're safe and secure

the howling winds and biting cold don't touch you

the bitter world has no impact on you (today at least)

you should be grateful

you should be thriving

- but -

you long for something more

you miss basking in the warm glow of the Son

you miss feeling the gentle breeze (of the Spirit)

you want to deepen your roots

you want to branch out

you want alone time to think, read, and pray

you're yearning
