WELCOME

I'm a full-time wife and mom of two adorable boys. When I'm not busy trying to keep up with them I enjoy photography, traveling, planning parties and a little bit of reading.

In February of 2008 I was diagnosed with an incurable terminal lung illness, though God promised me a full and complete healing. While we wait for His timing, we're taking it one day at a time, and standing in awe of how God's using all of this for His glory. The tough road we've traveled has given us a new perspective on the fragility of life. Memories are more important to us than ever before. The goal of this blog is to share some of our family life - the ups and downs, the joys and probably some of the pains as well. It's mostly meant as a personal journal of sorts, but you're welcome to share in it. We'd like to take this opportunity to say ...

WELCOME TO THE FEITNER ADVENTURE!

Celebration of Lights

I grew up in Wheeling, WV, home of Oglebay Park's famous Festival of Lights. So, lighted displays have always been a part of my Christmas memories and traditions. Apparently there's a similar display in Pittsburgh's North Hills - Hartwood's Celebration of Lights. Like Oglebay, the Hartwood lights also meander through a large park, and there's also a beautiful mansion, and several of the displays are actually the same! Oglebay was slightly bigger, but there are a lot of aspects of Hartwood that I liked better (sorry, Oglebay, it's the truth, though).

While the boys were having fun with the ladies at Chuck E Cheese, and after our scrumptious dinner, Aaron took me to see Hartwood. It was simply spectacular! Here are some highlights from Hartwood's Celebration of Lights...

Since it was a week night and it's not advertised nearly as much as Oglebay, there were hardly any cars! So, we were able to take our time and slowly meander through the displays enjoying each and every one (and getting plenty of pictures). We're gonna have to take the boys to see it too! If you're ever in the Pittsburgh area during the holidays, I highly recommend you take in the Celebration of Lights!
