WELCOME

I'm a full-time wife and mom of two adorable boys. When I'm not busy trying to keep up with them I enjoy photography, traveling, planning parties and a little bit of reading.

In February of 2008 I was diagnosed with an incurable terminal lung illness, though God promised me a full and complete healing. While we wait for His timing, we're taking it one day at a time, and standing in awe of how God's using all of this for His glory. The tough road we've traveled has given us a new perspective on the fragility of life. Memories are more important to us than ever before. The goal of this blog is to share some of our family life - the ups and downs, the joys and probably some of the pains as well. It's mostly meant as a personal journal of sorts, but you're welcome to share in it. We'd like to take this opportunity to say ...

WELCOME TO THE FEITNER ADVENTURE!

Discovery

Generally speaking, it's fun watching our boys discover our new house. No matter which room we're working on unpacking or arranging at any given moment, there's inevitably something that the boys explore while we're working. That has definitely made my refusal to pay for cable (for one more week anyway) much more bearable, since the boys are finding lots of things with which to amuse themselves.

We have a two story entry-way at Dogwood - and a (difficult to arrange furniture in) two story living room (with only two walls) attached to it. The huge window above the front door lets in lots of fabulous natural light. A few minutes ago Alex "discovered" that if he stands up on the ledge he can see out the window.

Don't ask how he got up there. Don't ask how he got down. Afterwards, he was sternly instructed not to play on the ledge (after I got my picture, of course).

I would totally FREAK OUT if one of my boys were up there. I can feel my adrenaline rising just looking at this picture! Yikes. Don't scare me again.
